Eisenkiesel is a quartz shot through with hematite, which gives it a red-brown color and a distinctly metallic glint. Rolex has used it on very few Day-Date dials indeed, and each one is cut from a different section of stone. That makes the pattern entirely unrepeatable, in much the same way meteorite and mother-of-pearl are unrepeatable. Set against Everose gold the red in the quartz picks up on the pink and ends up reading warmer still.

The 36 mm case is Everose Gold and the bezel above it is set with baguette-cut diamonds. An eisenkiesel dial carries diamond-set hour markers in gold, with the Roman six and nine also set. The day and the date appear in apertures at twelve and three, both of them with secure rapid-setting. The President bracelet uses semi-circular three-piece links in Everose Gold, closing on a concealed folding Crownclasp.
