White is the one dial that takes no side between the gold and the stones, since it neither warms toward the metal nor cools toward the diamonds but simply sits between the two of them and lets each be itself. That neutrality is a good deal harder to achieve than it sounds. Most other colors commit to one or the other. Rolex withdrew the Day-Date 128348RBR, and white was among the steadier dials that it sold at retail.
A 36 mm case in Yellow Gold sits under a diamond-set bezel, on a President bracelet in the same gold with its links set with stones. The white dial is flat and bright, with applied index markers and plain baton hands standing clear above it. The day is spelled in full at twelve, the date sits at three under the Cyclops, and a concealed Crownclasp closes the bracelet.
