The white dial and the flat Oyster bracelet together leave the diamond bezel standing alone as the only bright element. Everything else on the Datejust is either plain steel or a flat white surface with nothing whatsoever added. That isolation makes the bezel look deliberate rather than merely decorative, which is a genuinely difficult thing to achieve. Rolex built comparatively few of these, since most buyers took the Jubilee bracelet whenever they went for the stones.

A diamond-set Everose Gold bezel sits above a Stainless Steel case measuring 36 mm across the middle. The white dial holds applied hour markers, with the date at three beneath a Cyclops lens. Baton hands run over a plain ground with nothing printed anywhere around the outside of it. Three-piece solid links build the Oyster bracelet, Everose Gold at the center, closing on a folding Oysterclasp with a comfort extension.
