Patek Philippe pairs diamonds with Akoya pearls here, which is rare for the Manufacture — pearl belongs to the jewellery house tradition more than the watchmaking one, and few Patek Philippe references carry it. The Art Deco cushion case gives the setting a period frame rather than a contemporary one, and the diamonds are cut four different ways so the surface breaks light unevenly instead of reading as a single paved plane.

The white gold case measures 31 mm. Brilliant, baguette, trapeze and princess-cut diamonds are combined across the setting, with Akoya pearls placed among them. The dial is paved with diamonds and carries blackened white gold trapeze hour markers, themselves set. A manually wound movement is visible through the sapphire case-back, on a white gold bracelet. Patek Philippe produces the Gondolo Haute Joaillerie references in very small numbers, and the pearl-and-diamond combination appears on almost nothing else in the current catalogue.
