The Gondolo takes its name from a Brazilian retailer that sold Patek watches in the early twentieth century, and the shaped cases the house made for that market became a line of their own. At 30 mm this is the smallest of them and the closest to the Art Deco pieces the design descends from.

The rose gold case measures 30 mm with a diamond bezel. The silvery grained dial carries brown transfer-printed Roman numerals. The watch is completed on a hand-stitched alligator leather strap. Brown numerals rather than black is a small decision with a large effect — it softens the dial and ties it to the rose gold rather than leaving the two to compete. The Gondolo is the only Patek line where the case is not round, which is what its collectors are buying.
