Openworking a dial removes the surface a gem-setter would normally work on, which is why diamond-set skeletons are comparatively rare — the stones have to follow the bridges rather than sit on a plate. This Royal Oak Concept takes that route at 38.5 mm, the smallest case in the line, where the margin for error narrows further.
The white gold case measures 38.5 mm. The dial and inner bezel are openworked white gold set with diamonds, with openworked white gold hands and a gem-set bezel. The flying tourbillon has no upper bridge, leaving the cage visible through the skeletonised architecture from the front. The watch is completed on a hand-stitched blue alligator strap with a white gold folding clasp set with blue sapphires, with an additional blue rubber strap. The clasp stones and the dial stones are deliberately different, which is easy to miss until the watch is off the wrist.
