The interesting decision here is restraint: the bracelet is fully diamond-set while the dial is left plain in blue Petite Tapisserie. That inversion is unusual — a set bracelet normally accompanies a set dial — and it produces a watch that reads as a Royal Oak from the front and as a jewellery piece from the side. The Petite Tapisserie pattern is stamped rather than printed, each square cut into the dial blank, which is why it holds light the way it does.
The white gold case measures 39 mm, the extra-thin Jumbo proportion closest to the 1972 original. The blue dial carries the Petite Tapisserie pattern with white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands. The white gold bracelet is set with brilliant-cut diamonds along its length and fitted with an AP folding clasp. The result is a watch that is legible and conventional from directly above and unmistakably a jewellery piece from any other angle, which is a distinction the collection rarely draws so cleanly.
