The emerald cut exists because emerald is brittle at the corners — the step cut with clipped corners was developed to stop the stone chipping during setting. A baguette is the same logic applied at smaller scale, which makes this set an unusually appropriate use of the material rather than a decorative one.

The white gold case measures 37 mm with a gem-set bezel. The white gold dial is set with baguette-cut emeralds and carries white gold Royal Oak hands. The watch is completed on a white gold bracelet set with baguette-cut emeralds with an AP folding clasp.
