In 2016, Audemars Piguet reinvented the Royal Oak's surface by collaborating with Florentine jewelry designer Carolina Bucci, who introduced an ancient hammering technique to the maison. The result is Frosted Gold, a finish achieved by striking the metal with a diamond-tipped tool until it shimmers like a field of tiny diamonds, all without setting a single stone. This 37mm rose gold execution captures that magic beautifully, transforming the sports icon into something that sparkles with quiet, textural brilliance.

Crafted in 18-karat rose gold, the 37mm case and integrated bracelet are entirely hand-hammered, their octagonal bezel and eight hexagonal screws catching light from every facet of the frosted surface. In contrast, the white dial is smooth and precise, carrying the signature Grande Tapisserie pattern, applied rose gold markers and hands, and a date at three o'clock. A self-winding movement drives the watch, uniting jewellery craftsmanship with the Royal Oak's sporting spirit.
