At 34 mm, the 1815 220.028 in White Gold is the smallest 1815 A. Lange & Söhne has made, presented at Watches & Wonders 2025 in answer to collectors asking for a more discreet time-only Lange. It is a regular-production model, yet it wears the blue dial Lange more often keeps for limited editions, and it introduced a dedicated hand-wound movement built for the smaller case. The name recalls 1815, the birth year of founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange.
The 34 mm White Gold case is only 6.4 mm high, with the stepped bezel and notched lugs of the modern 1815. On the Blue dial of solid silver sit the family's railway-track minute scale, Arabic numerals and a small seconds at 6 o'clock with concentric grooves, read with lancet hands in White Gold. A blue alligator strap and White Gold prong buckle complete it, with the hand-finished movement on view through a sapphire caseback.
