Patek Philippe launched the Ellipse in 1968, drawing its gently curved case from the golden ratio revered since antiquity. Through the 1970s and 1980s, the maison reimagined that silhouette for women in a series of jewellery watches, mounting the elliptical case within elaborate goldsmith-made bracelets. This reference belongs to that refined tradition, where the watch becomes a bracelet first and a timepiece second, carrying the Patek name into the world of haute joaillerie with characteristic restraint and finish.
Measuring a diminutive 21 by 24mm, the cushioned elliptical case is framed by a bezel of chased, foliate yellow gold that flows into the bracelet. A champagne dial of granular gold fills the interior, its warm shimmer set with diamond hour markers and signed beneath twelve. The textured bracelet is a goldsmith’s creation, its scrolled links woven into a supple cuff. Beneath the dial, a manually wound movement keeps the piece slim.
