Cartier's 2017 relaunch of the Panthère collection validated what vintage collectors had long understood: the small two-tone model represents the design at its most purely distilled, where the sinuous bracelet and cushion-square case read as a single unified object rather than a watch with a strap.

The stainless steel case carries a yellow gold bezel secured by eight visible screws, with the characteristic sapphire cabochon crown completing Cartier's signature design detail at three o'clock. The cream dial presents bold black Roman numerals framed by an inner guilloché railroad border, with blued-steel sword hands at center and no date complication — keeping the dial composition entirely uninterrupted.
